Got Questions?

Here are a number of frequently-asked questions we receive.
How much time will it take?

In addition to weekly rehearsals, we perform in and around our area several times a year for local festivals, business events, and charitable events. In addition, we enjoy participating in Christmas and arts festival events.

What is the cost?

There is a $20 annual membership fee that helps cover costs such as music, the members' website, and some costumes. We strive to keep any additional costs as low as possible, and financial help is available if needed. This is the cheapest hobby you'll ever find!

Is child care available?

Yes!  Just let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements.

What is the audition procedure?

We do not have formal auditions, however we do stress that you need to be able to sing your part, against harmony.

Do I have to be a great singer?

You do not have to be a soloist or diva, but we do want you to be able to sing.  You need to be able to maintain your part, match pitches and contribute to the sound of the chorus.  You do not need to be able to read music.

How do I learn the songs?

Everyone learns songs differently and we try to accomodate everyone!  The primary way is to attend every rehearsal.  Lynda is a fabulous teacher and we work on new songs every week. She is always willing to sing a song all the way through so you can tape for rehearsing purposes. We also occassionally have sectional rehearsals to iron out any problems.

We provide learning tracks on our members-only web-site that are part-specific.  These are in mp3 format so you can either listen to them on your computer or download to your ipod or mp3 player.  If that doesn't work for you, we can also burn a cd with all of your part's tracks, or if all else fails, we can give you a cassette tape.

We're always willing to work with you one-on-one if extra help is needed.
